Restored: Repairing Your Mindset Before You Take On The Day.

Restored

This is the act of being brought back. To return to one’s original health. To get yourself centered. And it’s the 2nd action and the “R” in my G.R.E.A.T. principle towards your self-improvement. From moving from just being "good" to being "Great".

This can be a daily ritual but it could also be a true getaway from the stresses in life. My wife is great at acknowledging the moments I need to get “away” to work on my projects in solitude without having to kiss Boo-boos or be a superhero dad so I can continue to grow, learn and develop my mindset while working on my self-care at the same time. I can stay in a hotel a few miles away and still be “away” so I can do the most important thing to grow my business and improve not only the self-care of my clients but for myself as well. This is accomplished in 3 phases:

- Information - Motivation - Strategy

Information gathering is a critical 1st step in the process of rewiring your habits. This helps us identify the “What I know”- severity, risks, susceptibility, obstacles, benefits, and guidelines. When you have these markers identified, you will have clarity on where you are at and where you need to go.

Motivation is the 2nd step as this will clearly help us identify the “Why” you want to change your current habits and behaviors. This is a representation of your values and an internal process you use to fuel your desire to change. It’s important to attach a habit or behavior with a high level of importance here as you’ll be more likely to make lasting changes if it is the most important thing for you to correct.

The 3rd and final step is Strategy. This is “How” we can create healthy changes. This step is crucial because it lays out the identifiers you must complete to make the change happen. It builds your confidence in your ability to make lasting changes.

If you have lost motivation with your goals, habits, and behaviors, then it typically means you have a “disconnection” with what you value and the actions and choices you are taking. So in order to achieve this, you need to be restored so you can repair any of these disconnections before you get started trying to build, maintain, or improve a habit or otherwise it will cost you extremely more energy than it needs to cost. It's like trying to run a race with a 50 lbs weight vest on. Can you do it? Yes, but it's going to be substantially harder.

Agree or Disagree? If you agree with me, then there are 3 ways you can get in touch or work with me so we can help you find your center and get back to improving your self-care:

1. Work with me 1-on-1.

If you have some issues and you want my direct input and guidance, just reply to this "Hey Coach" and tell me what you're struggling with or by scheduling a Strategy Session with me below. It's that simple.

2. Join my FREE Facebook group.

We all need support. So why not jump into a motivated community of like-minded fathers to build CONSISTENCY with the habits that you want to instill to reach your goals, led by Yours Truly? This isn't for everyone- To qualify you must: 1. Be a Dad

2. Share with me what your goals are 3. Agree to be disciplined for the next 14 days

4. Tell me your best "Dad Joke" If I feel like it's a good fit for you, you'll be accepted to the Facebook Group "The Disciplined Dad Experiment" where you can participate in my brand new 14-day challenge to get a head start in chasing your goals. You won't run the race alone- we will run it together and support each other along the way.

I'll be there every day to give you everything you need to succeed - Meal plans, Tips, Motivation, Accountability, and Support. Iron sharpens Iron so as one man sharpens another (Proverbs 27:17). Let's stop trying to figure out and fix everything on our own- Let's win together.

If you are interested in being a part of The Disciplined Dad Experiment, reply to this with the word "Discipline" and I'll fill you in on the details and schedule your call.

3. Local to Baltimore? Then reach out! It's pretty simple: shoot me an email at ryancollins@dadswholift.com saying what city you are located and I'll reach back out and tell you the next steps.

Many people wish they started sooner. Almost nobody wished they started later. Book your appointment now so you can start becoming the change you want to be. For my fellow Fathers who dare to get better, Coach Ryan Collins
